Hi, I'm playing around with a Windows Server 2008 Trial install and cant get programs such as Firefox and uTorrent any internet however IE connects fine. Even installs that try and update while installing are blocked. I don't have much experience with Windows Server OS's and this is getting really frustrating lol

Its all down to super fetch. its not enabled by defualt.

Thanks, but I'm not sure how enabling super fetch will stop it blocking internet to some programs??

Sorry mate i didnt read your thread fully. the Server OS needs to have full conection allocated . ill post stuff up for that in a min ill need to have a quick google

for Server 03, you need to get some file that helps you to enable all that stuff... without it that OS is hostile to those not in the know :P
maybe it can help you fix some other issues you might have, like lack of sound, etc... go to the windows or OS forum, above here, and then click on the 'turn your server into a workstation' link that's stickied... all info is in the first post iirc, but beware, it's for server 03, so might not work for server 08
