Default vista testing

This post is to get vista to bench as good as xp with the help of you guys. vista sp1 is on a new hd. i have optimized vista as best as i know how, needless to say vista looks like windows 2000, system restore is off, page file fixed at 2000mb,enabled write caching,multiple processes disabled, and UAC feature is off. any "positive" suggestions would be appreciated to make vista perform better. these tests were done with dual evga 8800gt, rest is same as sig.

task manager idle 0 programs open
xp= 18 processes, 127 mem usage
vista= 31 processes, 423 mem usage

first test 3d06 @ 1280 x768
xp= 19714, vista= 18756

second test crysis @ 1280 x 720 high 0aa, 0af
xp= 53.42 fps, vista dx9= 48.23 , vista dx10= 59.61

third test doom3 @ 1024 x 768 ultra 16aa, 0af
xp= 131.9 fps, vista= 133.5 fps, yes vista did better

update-3d06 scores better after services disabled,crysis had no change, doom 3 is my last test, however i will perform more tests at the request of you guys. conclusion, im surprised at how vista has performed at this point and it looks like vista has turned into a nice product worth switching to.
