So I might need some help.....
I'm dual booting a gateway laptop with XP.....Vista is already installed. I've done everything right so far. I used the vista cd and ran diskpart. I shrunk the partition. I restarted and ran the xp setup. When the xp disk finished loading I treid to set it up but there was no unpartitioned space showing up to turn into a partition. the unallocated space shows up in vista so I know it's there Maybe the gateway works differently. I know that it has a recovery partition. Any ideas? ![]() __________________

Try to create a partition on that un-partitioned space on vista first, then see if that partition comes up in the installation.
