it worked fine, fresh install of xp, did updates
then did an update to get IE7

and then this

I just reinstalled xp pro sp2 the other day and after it updated I got the same thing but I use FF3 so I really could care less about IE7. FF3 worked fine.

Basically, it means you lost connection during your update. It could be the ISP, MS Update Server, your router, your PC, etc. Usually, another attempt in a few minutes will resolve this issue.
