Good guide. Something tells me I've read this guide before (before my other post), but I just didn't post. Good Job!

one suggestion, from what i've heard, defragging your hard drive only stresses it and is not needed unless you have multiple partitions and running many programs. just thought i'd share that is all.

I know that if you defragment to much, or when it isn't necessary this can happen. I've done it before with an older drive. It started to slow down because I defragmented way to often.

I read this from another guide I don't know where, but it said it will use the number of cores you selected to boot up as opposed to the standard 1. I can't test this because I'm still using my P4.
That's actually very wrong.

Windows Vista by standard uses all available cores once it loads the kernel..[however it doesn't knw hot use em properly]....however, in a given case where one of your Cores maybe faulty, you may want to disable Windows from using a certain amount of cores, and thus that feature is present. It is simply present for troubleshooting purposes and not really for performance improvements over the standard operation of Windows.
