Sorry if this isn't the proper place for this but I have a problem that started later today (7/30/2005)
__________________Ok, when I go to open IE for whatever reason, this comes up: http://img310.imageshack.us/img310/8976/ax11iq.jpg And it does't matter if I select "Yes" or "No", this message then appears: http://img310.imageshack.us/img310/5966/ax29ah.jpg I can't exit out when these pop up, and the only way to get out is ctrl+alt+del and end it. Another question, how do I set a browser as my default? Cause I just downloaded Opera 8.02 and it's not prompting me. Any suggestions?

i second the firefox thing. ie is really the best way to 'ask for it' btw, activex is HORRIBLE and i strongly discourage using it. sorry, but it's a suggestion.
also, overclocking your cpu might help. (sarcasm) ![]()

He didnt ask for that. Although i do recommend it. Spamming the x will do nothing.
Its obviously a clash with some files related to AOL toolbar. The site below it age of empires, apparently requires an activex control of some sort,i feel that AOL is blocking it with its super spyware blocking spam super technology. So either: 1.Disable aol toolbar 2.Get firefox 3.Change your homepage Its most likely that, the toolbar is causing an infinite loop in the installation of the activex control. In english, its trying over and over and over and over and over again 100's of times,so the only way to get out of an infinite loop is via ctrl+alt+dlt

The error is the IE browser itself. You can fix that by getting Firefox

No,the automation server cant create object. (he didnt ask for firefox, although i do second that,he asked for a solution)
Something is preventing it from creating an object, look at the path...aol toolbar. It is not allowing the server to create the activex object. For those unaware of what active x is. It allows dynamic web content to be placed in web pages. http://www.cs.princeton.edu/sip/faq/...s-activex.html

I know, IE stinks, but I hardly ever use it. It's just when I open ANY page in IE, it does this. I just want it fixed for future use.
