Default Please help vista stuttering

Hey guys , I just formated my main hd (300gig) and reinstalled windows vista ultimate on it , I have the latest sound drivers , gpu drivers installed , that is it........soo no other software...............

anyways , the pc is suffering from stutering , if i move my mouse over the screen it like freezes for 1/10th of a second every 2 seconds , even wile im typing this if i look very closely every 4th word it like freezes but then 2 letters pop out , this is extreemily annoying with video playback or music , where you can hear the pc has frozen , same things if I try games...........

I then re-formated and exact same thing , using different drivers?!?!?........

I have 3 other hard drives , connected...........could that somehow be the cause , they about 400 gigs each , and have movies on etc..........

any help would be gladely apprecieated!

peace

Does that happen before you even install any drivers or software?

It's pretty wierd... Maybe they are in conflict with another driver or piece of software, try with 175.16 or any drivers between 175.19 and 177.79. Also check chipset drivers.

Go to the Control Panel -> Classic View-> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer

Check if there are any conflicts.

#1 have you updated all the way to Service Pack 1
#2 I highly recomend Vlite. In fact I would still be using XP if it wasnt for this wonderful piece of software. It may not solve your problem here but I gained 1,000 3dmarks in 06 and it is noticably faster. My version of Vlited Vista SP1 is faster and better than my leanest meanest version of XP. 100 3dmarks gained over my highest score in XP.
#3 I think vista tried to automatically install my video driver. I had to stop it so i could install my own. Mayb thats what happened.
