Default Good Night + Windows XP Question

I was having a chat with Zep on msn when I noticed (I installed XP today, early yesterday) that there was a "remote assistance" button, what does this allow you to do? We didn't have time to test it out with each other as he had to burn something but while I sleep it would be great if I could get some feedback. Much thanks!

Remote assistance Is where you send an Im to someone i.e. a friend to access your computer from his house thus assisting you remotely in troubleshooting your comp.

Yea But Also Very Easy For Hackers To Get In. Becuase It Somhow Doesn't Protect It.

ya you can use it over the internet, the only catch is the copmuter your logging into has to have xp pro. to turn it on you have to go to system proporties the click on the remote tab. if you have xp home you only have the option to sent requests. if you have xp pro you can also recieve requests

edit: all that you need is the ip, username and password for an account on that computer, also the preson on the other end can't see what you doing as it brings up the welcome screen of the computer you logged it to
