Default Port 6881 UDP?
hey everyone,

i am getting a mesage from my interent saying "if you have a router/firewall, please check that you have port 6881 udp open. decentralised tracking requires this". How can i check to see if this port is open?

p.s. i am using a wireless usb reciever with my router about 20ft away.

Try typing "192.168.0.1" in the address bar (w/o quotes), but really I need to know what router you have.

Go to your router settings,oftern 192.168.1.254 and go to the virtual server setting (aka port forward). Set the specified port to your ip address on udp(not tcp aswell).

You need a static ip to complete this. More info here:

If its a Linksys, try "192.168.1.1" but I think its what blob said for all other routers.

yup, linksys 2.4ghz 54mpbs - WRT54G v.3

Are you putting "http://192.168.1.1/" in the browser (Without Quotes), in the place where you would put a URL?

Is this for BitTorrent? That's the only program I know of that uses port 6881.

You're doing it right, try putting in "admin" for both user name and password. If that dosn't work, just put in admin as name, and leave password blank.
