xp on a prebuilt laptop
hey ppl me again just another query that i have..if i upgrade my laptops os, will i lose various functions on my laptop eg the function of the nipple thing that allows me to move the curser,sound, graphics, the infered port etc etc. or when i install windows will it detect all of these features..im only worreid bout it because i dont want to upgrade it and then not b able to use it because i dont no how to fix it and end up paying money for something i have got if you get that lol as always REP will b given for any help

Check the Device Manager for appropriate information regarding onboard pointing devices, name, model, even driver version might help you re-locate these.
I updated my mom's laptop and she lost the volume control buttons, but I found the driver via the gateway website... What kind of laptop is it? You may be able to find the drivers there. (manufacturers website)

hey people i am just about to install windows xp on my laptop that ive got but i was wondering what i needed to download? do i download each driver individually....http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...?validate=true .....or do i get the configuraion package http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...RG3.........if i get the configuration package how will i install it if i have just installed xp and the pointer/nipple doesnt work? or will it work, wuite confusing as i have never worked on a laptop b4? plz plz plz help :-D
