So I was in the middle of a game of "Nexuiz" with a friend of mine, I frag them both, and BAM... crashes.
I reboot... and it crashes again after loading windows. I back down my daily overclock significantly just to see... and now it won't even load Windows!!! It won't boot normally... it won't boot in safe mode with networking... but it will boot in safe mode. I checked in Add/Remove programs to see if it could be the game since it is beta... but the game doesn't even have registry entries apparently since it is not in there. I tried using Windows Restore.... Restored to yesterday.... then about 1 1/2 weeks ago... neither worked. What is wrong? ToT If I can boot in Safe Mode there HAS to be some way to make it boot to normal mode.... right? :'(

Did you back your OC all the way down/reduce voltage?

Try backing it ALL the way down, reduce ALL voltage to stock.

I backed it all the way down... didn't boot.
I raised it back up to where it was originally (283x11) and it still wouldn't boot normally, but it will boot into safe mode at any level. Here is what happens on a "normal boot" It goes through POST... starts to load Windows XP Pro... then after the blue bars go across about 2 1/2 times I hear a "bump" from my bass, then the screen goes black. Then it stays black for about 15 seconds, then I see the BSOD flashed for 1/4 of a second with a simultaneous "bump" from my bass... and it reboots.

I think those Raptors I have are being dumb.... I've heard about issues with SATA and overclocking etc.... I'm considering buying a large PATA drive or something.... though I already have all of my PATA slots taken up so I'd have to switch something out.... or something.... man this is a pain in the rear.
I haven't tried resetting the CMOS, but once again... isn't that counterintuitive? I just don't understand how it could work in safe mode and not in normal mode.
