So if you own a CD key for an OS or game you cannot download a copy and use the key with it ?

my threads not about 32 or 64 bit. i'm just switching to 64bit because i know it's better and i just needed some advice on how to do it and a few simple questions to be answered like will some of my programs work or if i could install it from a flash drive, ect.

ANYWAYS, on topic. I burned my install disk today and if i go home tomorrow i'll go ahead and format and install 64 bit :
