Default Windows ME
I have a old Hp that had ME on it so I have the key number for it. Can I take a copy or should I say a OEM copy of ME and used my old number and it work on a different computer ?

Dont use ME. Its better just to buy 2000 or XP. Or go for Linux.

The HP disk probably wont work on another PC du to the fact all the necessary drivers, etc are slipped into it!
The #s and an OEM are legal as long as you dont use the #s on more that 1 PC!

Poor HD, what did it do to deserve such punishment, it didn't want Mill on it either but what could it do about it, nothing but put up with it!
BTW, I stayed with 98SE when it came out and never ever used it
