10fps sounds like a PCIe 1x problem... I believe someone else had a problem like that here?

# 1 Well going back to windows98se was a nightmare, so i just gave up. I got so many BSOD , which lead to madness, i started to get chest pains, so i said fu** it lol. So my computer is back to normal, back to WindowsXP, using the 2400HD 8.8 drivers, until i buy and test out more pci cards for a next upgrade.
__________________#2 I am buying my secondary computer very soon, in a few weeks, so i will let everyone know when i get it. And i will start building on it, even tho i already said its going to be a gateway with a intel motherboard. I am excited because i am ready to use some cool PCI-E cards, and the good thing about PCI-E, those cards are really cheap, i seen some cards at 36 bucks. #3 My onboard Sound is completely destroyed. The 8400GS did it, maybe the 300 watts requirement took out my sound, but my onboard sound hasn't come back, so i just disable it in device manager. Yea it shows up, but everything is greyed out. Anyways, so thats pretty much it. Read Again, i am buying a new computer in a few weeks, just for the newer games or games which i can't play good on this computer. ![]() Peace

I don't understand what you are saying really, build my own? Are you talking about actually just buying a case and buy the parts? If so, either way i will have to spend about 500 or 600 bucks.
__________________Also, giving someone advice on what to buy is optional. What i mean is, yea i hear some of the things that you folks want me to buy, but the last time i check, everyone in the world doesn't share the same opinion. If someone told me to go out and buy Madden and i said i wanted All pro2k8, do you think i will go out and buy madden? No, why? Because madden sucks and i am a hardware sega/2k fan. So with computer parts, if you guys told me to go crossfire or something i would say no thanks, because for my next upgrade i only want one video card , i don't need 2. Also i already said that my next computer is going to be a gateway / intel. First thing everyone says " DO NOT BUY GATEWAY, THEY SUCK " Well everyone doesn't share that view. You guys are not really giving me advice, more like " What it seems best in your eyes " . So as i said, i will have my gateway intel duo core or whatever computer very soon and i will see what ships with it/comes with it, and go from there.

I think your definition between fact and opinion is somewhat blurred. I dont think anyone really knows what you are trying to say, and thats why this is the first reply.
FACT: building your own computer is cheaper than and faster than buying one, you do not have to factor in build costs, and you can have it to your exact specifications. If it wasnt, this website wouldnt exist. I dont know what your trying to say. It isnt always opinion. There is always a product that will stand out as factually the best for your budget and intended purpose. Please dont tell me you are comapring video games to pc components. Bad analogy.

Another fact is that buying a pre-built Gateway computer is not good value for money. Not all of us have the best hardware and I myself am very content with the hardware I have. I don't want Crossfire or SLI either. You tell us that we give you our "opinions", yet you yourself keep going on about your strong opinions on Diamond and Gateway. Don't tell US that we're the biased ones.

Legendary:The problem are your drivers. Try older drivers. Back when I had a Voodoo 3 card I couldn't get C&C Renegade to work on XP, but it would work on 98. And yup, it works on XP/Vista with NVIDIA cards, so the problem was the drivers.
