Default Make a file look like a system file in XP

Is there any way to make a file look and act like a system file in XP? That is, its not showed until "Show system files" is enabled, its forced as hidden etc...

Thanks, tom

Hidden files no longer working to keep your porn directory hidden tom? Do what I did and move them to a removable device That, or bury them hundreds of levels deep within the file tree and people will just give up looking for them.

yah, theres a program somewhere on the net that makes like hundreds of folders nested inside other folders, etc etc, and then you put all your por- I mean files inside one of them and make a shortcut. Proceed to hide the shortcut and voila.

Open a command prompt and browse to the directory you want.

type:

attrib +H "file/folder name"

and it will hide it.

I just tried this on my computer and I have view system and hidden files and the file is transparent (like system files).

I believe on XP if you search with the Backup Tape and Hidden Files/Folders boxes checked, don't you still see system files even if they are hidden?
