Is a Re-installation needed?
i am about to switch my dad's computer to S754 (AMD 64 3000 + MSI K8N Neo Plat (Nforce 3 250GB))
from AMD 2600 + ABIT NF7 (Nforce2) Will i need to Format and Reinstall Windows... i would prefer not to obviously, but if i have to so be it Also Could i just Repair the OS using the Win XP CD? and how would i do this

just repair (load the installation cd and press r AFTER IT SCANS FOR COPYS OF WINDOWS)...pressing r earlier will load recovery console

You may not need to reinstall, since your going from nforce to nforce. I went from an NF2/xp2800+ to my NF4/venice w/o having to reinstall.(or repair)
