Vista sucks in terms of customization.

XP had the uxtheme patch that made customization extremely easy. I think Vista has a uxtheme patch also but I don't know if any skins are actually being made...

There are plenty of good Vista skins using the uxtheme patch. Thousands. Or at least a few hundred.

Aero Glass is disabled when you start up a game, so unless you don't like it using a few MBs of video RAM while in the desktop, it won't matter.

Better to patch Uxtheme.dll with Vista Glazz or something and download themes if it is that you are reffering too.

Windowblinds trial needs to be up 24/7 to use a certain theme etc. dunno how it is if you buy it.
