Not really.... more like web folders and remote access.

Here's my site: https://assorted.homeserver.com

MS provides the domain and WHS autoconfigured everything in about 1 min.

I use mine to stream a web music and torrents.

So besides game servers, you guys basically just use it so you can access important files from any computer?

Is there any way to make money by whoring out your server to other people?

Probably not.... this is just a home server. I spent like $300-400 on it. How much are nightly back ups of your systems worth?

I'm not really sure what you mean by back-ups. Are you saying that you have a second hard drive that automatically backs up whatever is on the main one?

WHS backs up your ENTIRE PC every night.

If your hard drives all blew up, burnt out, stolen.... you just stick new HDs into your PC and run a restore disk. WHS will then reapply everything as it was before. It is differential backups so the first time it runs, it uses about the same space as your total used HD space. Afterwards, it only saves any changes since the last back up.

Ohhh... So you're saying a computer running WHS restores the entire hard drive collection of any computers connected to it, if you want it to?

Wow, that is nice! Seems kinda like a security risk though, doesn't it?
