I recently got a new video card for my old system because the old one sucked. It is an HP Visualize FX10 64MB AGP Card with DVI and VGA output. It has a Matrox MGA-G200A GPU in it. When I plugged it in, XP only recognized it as a generic plug-and-play VGA compatible card. So off I went (with RSThrilla and HP's help) to find a driver. The newest one that I can find is made for Windows 2000. HP says that this should be OK for the basic parts of the video card. My problem is that when the downloaded file (the .exe) is run, it displays an alert. The header is this: "Can't run 16-bit Windows program". The text in the alert is this: "Cannot find file C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\Desktop\fx_w2k_118b.exe (or one of its components). Check to ensure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available.". How should I go about fixing this?

Well, now, hang on...you got a new vid. card and there were no drivers that came with it, and you had to go find them?

I had the same problem with my Scanner drivers. I also suggest you goto Driverguide.com as that is the best place to find working drivers. That is what I had to do.

It's only because you ran a reg or cleaning utility that probably deleted a .Bak file that you needed.... If it doesn't work instantly try Start>run type SFC /SCANNOW and insert your disk when prompted...when it finishes..try the program again....
