Default Vista Processes problem
My friend just upgraded from xp to vista on his laptop. now it's running 72 processes! It's going extremely slow now and we're trying to figure out how to just get rid of a lot of unnecessary programs and things but don't really know where to start. Is there a program of sorts that can help pinpoint things we don't need? If not, any tips? Thanks in advance.

Vista runs alot more processes compared to XP that guide will help you

core2duo 1.6 ghz, 2 gigs of ram (dunno the exact frequency and all that), don't know much more. It's a dell vostro 1500.

Well, go through that guide, it should be able to help...also make sure you don't have the drive cluttered with programs you don't need, and try to defragment it.
