I have had Vista since the month it came out, and haven't had any major issues that made me want to go back to XP, nor I have even thought of ever going back to XP just to do it. Vista to me does everything I need it to when I need it to, searches are much quicker and I can play all the games I play on vista so for me it is Vista.

Windows Vista because its like a drug. You run it more than a week and your addicted.
I would prefer XP if it did have a better deskop and DX10 but it doesn't so I am onto Vista Sp1 now, I am changing to 64bit when my parts are coming so I will see how the difference between x64 and x86 are. :-) I did use x64 once but it was kinda stupid since my ram isnt even close to 3GB so I changed back to x86 but now that I am getting 4GB i am changing to x64.

Vista.
Drug, Buggy, Nice Lookin', Perfect for beginners in Windows World [Dunno bout Linux]
DX10 and last of all. Hard to find drivers that are incorporated seamlessly.

XP.
Old, Fast, Boring, Perfect for Tweakers and FPS freaks, DX9 and last of all. Drivers exist everywhere but can you trust that driver?

Seriously though, the number of people expressing extreme doubt over this is retarded.

Vista 64 for sure, I do not miss xp at all on my rig.

I use xp all day at work and Vista at home, and Vista wins hands down.
