Default SP3 Bug ?
Hi, When my friend bought a laptop the update were OK,

but now He need to download SP3 from the windows update software however it seems like the serial is not legit, so can he download SP3 from windows update, or will it lock the system ?

SP3 will not lock his system. However I reccomend he call MS to sort out why his serial is showing up as non legit.

I don't know if it will even let him install it if it does not pass windows validation.

No it wont unless its a third party sp3,it has to be validated before updates will work properly.

he didnt test for the validation (he knew that his windows was not legit with the nortification probleme), he dont want to lose all his data on the drive, whats the consequences if he instal it with a wrong serial? SP3 is a major update!, so do you think it will be alright or it will just f*ck up?
