Default Problem installing Windows! HELLLLLPP!! REPS+++

I need tonnes of help here guys...just got my memory in the mail today and my fan...so I hooked it all up and turned it on...it posts...I'm stoked...I pop in the windows xp cd and restart...it boots from the cd...i'm stoked-er...it loads the raid/ide controllers and I push enter to begin setup...I pick my drive to install it to...and then it comes up with a screen like this :

(I cut out allthe words cause they make no sense)

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
***STOP: 0X0000000A
(0x408CE16C, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0X80818652)

then another time I tried it said the same thing...but once it said

PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

So I have no idea what's going on... all the words say is stuff like "make sure that any new hardware is installed properly...*shrugs* it looks to be fine to me...

my computer info is in my sig...

everything is at stock yes...it's all on "auto"
I am not overclocking until I can get into windows first...
I started memtest and it passed tests 1-5 but then I figured they were fine so I just continued to try with installing windows...
