Sorry misunderstood at the windows setup you press f6 when it prompts you at the bottom to install third party drivers and then it goes to the spot where windows tells you to insert your drivers there for setup to load them.

I don't have a floppy drive so I tried using nlite to incorporate them.
I downloaded the second driver on this page:
http://support.asus.com/download/dow...Language=en-us
and slipped it into the xp install disk. I am still getting the same error. Did I download the right driver?

Checking for you.

Edit: The link went to the main download page. expanded the + and there are like 4 raid drivers there 3 are the same brand just updated versions and one is the intel one. Do you know if you have the promise raid controller or the intel raid conroller ?

Intel(R) Application Accelerator RAID Edition 3.5R for Windows 2000/XP
Please use 1009 or later version BIOS or you might have problem when using new IAA driver.
Support Windows XP and Windows 2000
Support RAID0/RAID1

Is that the right one?

I don't think I do. I was just adding a multiple driver folder. What is the correct procedure?
Thanks!
And should I ad both the promise raid driver and the intel raid driver to the same disk?

Reset your BIOS to defaults and do not disable anything or modify it

only modify your CPU/clock settings and go, ive had this issue with disabling things like certain options/ports

Should I do this without trying the intel raid driver first?

I dont think you should add both. you would have to extract or unpack the files from the downloaded driver. I can download the driver, look at it tell you which one to put in there. It may be a minute cause my wireless is acting slow and dont feel like fixing it right now lol. Im also assuming you know how to use nilite add drivers once we find the inf. ?

Edit : or you can try xfreeroller's suggestion if that works great if not we try the driver idea
