I don't know if his suggestion will make the raid suddenly work. I need the right drivers I think.. but I will try it anyway.
Edit: no luck

MMMMMM. Do not see a inf in their. Can you attach the readme.txt file. I can almost guarantee it is in the setup.exe file an cannot get to it unless it is unpacked or you can use a command to extract the files from the .exe without going through the setup.

Edit: Remembered how to extract them

Use one of the following command examples to extract the
driver files from the different packages:

c:\iata_cd.exe -a -a -p c:\<path>
c:\iata_enu.exe -a -a -p c:\<path>
c:\setup.exe -a -p c:\<path> <---where you want them to go. like c:\....

Each disk has one unknown partition. I tried to to delete it but it will not let me. Is there anyway I can completely format these two disks without the windows os disk that will make them readable by windows. Raid is not necessary.

Do I still need the raid driver even though they are in non raid config because they are connected to a raid controller?

Yes with a third party program like seatools or wd diagnotics downloaed from their sites , You are highlighting the partition and pressing D to delete, lol no offense again. Do you have any usb drives or add on media card readers connected too.

No not unless you plan on using raid windows will communicate with them on the ide bus or controller in dm they will be on listed under ide controller.
