Default XP 64 bit themes?

I used to use windows blinds etc to skin the desktop but now on 64 bit XP I can't for the life of me find a compatible program. If anyone could be so kind as to link me to one (don't mind about cost) that would be much appriciated and +rep <3

You do know that XP 64 isnt a true native 64bit OS right? if you really want a 64bit OS, ur only way is Vista 64 bit; that's the only true native 64bit OS that MS produced.

Even if u use 64bit most of ur programs are going to be ran 32-bit anyways so if u dont feel Vista is right for you. just go back to XP 32bit.

Completely false. Xp x64 is a full x64 OS.

I had a style program on mine but I can't remember what it's name was .

And if I was to go back to 32bit XP that would defeat the object of having 4gb ram :s

In addition to this, they made a true 64-bit OS and not just a port to a 64-bit OS like XP64. The Vista 64-bit version is a native 64-bit OS.
Might wanna read this then... thats where its sourced from.

to James Coote, if u use Vista 32bit with SP1, u'll still get ur 4gb of ram...
My laptop's running 4.0gb of ram on Windows Vista 32-bit OS...

but it wont utilize to whole amount of RAM. Vista got a patch so it shows the complete amount of ram in a system, but your still limited to 4gb before other things such as cache and vram are taken off

I think you misinterpreted the wording in the article. They were making a point that vista was designed with x64 in mind from the start, and that xp was adapted to it. However, this does not mean xp x64 is not an x64 native OS, because it is. Additionally, xp x64 is based on microsoft's server kernal, NOT xp home/pro's, so it's actually a more stable and solid OS then plain XP. Most of the crap against xp64 comes from before there were good drivers for it.

Your laptop gets all the ram because it probably has onboard graphics that use your system ram anyways. The main reason you don't get all 4 gigs usually is because the GPU is taking some. In both xp and vista 32, you will get the full 4 gigs if nothing else in your system has any ram to speak of.

(edit) Just remembered the program, styleXP http://www.tgtsoft.com/download.php

Microsofts server kernal also came in 32-bit so you cant say for sure that XP-64 was based off a whole 64-bit platform. From what i've experienced with XP-64 its sluggish even with drivers, the OS seems like it was built as a 32-bit OS and then changed so it ran as a 64bit...

As you said both xp and vista 32, u'll get 4 full gigs if nothing else in the system has any ram to speak of.
so to the OP, its time to find that copy of Vista 32bit if u really wanna go with usin all 4 gb of ur ram. althought i see no point of using 4gb vista vs 2gb XP. but thats just my two giant pennies...
