Default Vista Optimisation

I'm on the look out for vista x64 optimisation guides which tell me what services I can shut off and what performance tweaks I can put in place. This is for gaming purposes. +rep for anyone who finds a good one, thanks <3

As of now, Vista and XP are performing the same in games. So no optimizations are needed as of now. Besides, you won't notice anything with your rig. It's up to date

there are a million guides out on google. The one thing I would suggest is turn off Windows Search and disable it. It is the indexing program which rapes the harddrive and to me is completely unnecessary.

nonsense =P Im sure some performance can be squeezed out. I remember doing Vipers XP mod guide back in the day. So if XP and vista are on par then vista should benefit from the same (or different) tweaks.
