Default Older PC won't load
I forget the specs of the computer, but I know its on Windows XP Home Editition.

I get this message on bootup:

RPL-ROM-ADR: 000A E610 8E43
RPL-Rom-IRQ: 11
RPL-ROM-PI0: D400

RPL-ROM-FFC: 5 Not Found

Insert BOOT diskette in A:
Press Any Key When Ready_

So has the computer forgotten there is an operating system? I don't have any boot disks

Try to reset cmos to it mite help.

No. It resets all the settings defined in the BIOS. Hard drive data is unaffected.

Also try re-seating the IDE or SATA cables and power cables for the hard drive. Maybe even try a new cable if that doesnt work.
