I haven't had Vista Ultimate 64 installed this week and haven't a clue with how many GB it was. Does anyone know what the exact size of Vista Ultimate 64 bit SP1 is?

By the time it's done inflating, merging, and allocating space for your user profile, it can be anywhere from 6GB to 45GB, depending on hardware, file types, and other elements.

Bah, been looking at a 16GB SSD for the operating systems - still researching them to see if it would be faster than my 5 drive RAID 0 array.

Try using VLite, or a compiler where you can take only the components you want from Vista, and make a backup based on that you can load into your next drive. I mean, yeah, seek times would be disgustingly fast, but there's a lot to be taken into account for if you're loading the full version of Vista on there. That, and you may want something a little larger than 16GB for your OS drive. Anymore, these days, it's all about size matters.
