Default System hangs on shutdown/restart.
Hey all. I'm here to inquire on some more help. It's as the title reads. It's just been doing it recently. This XP install is pretty recent too.. Less than a month I believe. Any help is appreciated.

What's helped me a few times is creating a new User account. Sometimes you just build up crap.

When did it start? What changed that could cause it?

Sometimes it's a service that hangs, sometimes it's a program. Check to see what it's hanging on. Look in your Event log for errors. (Administrative Tools)

It just started this week if I remember correctly. As for whats causing it I have no idea. I tweaked my registry a little according to a website and it worked really well. Then this happened.

You might try to restore the system back to last week and see if that fixes it. You may have disabled something vital "tweaking" the registry.

My system shuts down and reboots normally again. What? Lol.

Edit: I disable system restore.
