Because it's such a rarity that someone owns 64bit, I didn't want you trying to blankly defend your OS with an easy target. I dunno, seemed like a good idea at the time heh.

I don't know what to do with that copy of XP though, I got it OEM from newegg so technically its bound to that mobo

Vista x64 for sure. But as with any 64 bit OS as of now, drivers are not fun - however, vista has been better now as releases are focused on the newer OS.

Rant: Unless your Linksys. Then you don't release any support for 64 bit. Used to like you Linksys. Had to move to D-link.

Just check to make sure your hardware has vista 64 bit drivers first.

My only problem with Vista is that I got a few BSODs caused by nvlddmkm.sys. I installed XP x64 and they went away.

I was quite pleasantly surprised at a recent trip to best buy to see almost all of the pc's there were running 64 bit vista. Should help pressure the remaining companies to support 64bit.

i would have to agree with everyone, ive got xp64 on my spare box and havent really tryed any games yet but i think vista will be the way to go sense everyone is using it now and its the norm. plus, it has gotten alot better sense they are seeing that people are having alot of problems in the past with game issues in the past on vista.

so, in the long run, vista will be the better choice. hope things work out for yah.
