Thanks guys
With the money I got for Xmas (~$425 when my 8800GT sells on Ebay) I'm getting a GTX 260 Core 216, another 250GB AAKS for RAID 0, and another 4gb of G.skill, and maybe a new case, so I think my rig is definitely "Vista-Ready" haha

Reps for all! Merry Christmas!

To tell you the truth i havent seen much of hit in performance gaming wise with Vista .I have 4 hard drives and i have them in two arrays of raid 0 .One is 2x160GB WD's in raid 0 with Vista HP 64 bit and the other set is 2x500GB seagates in another array of Raid 0 with Vista HP 32 bit.So i switch back and forth a lot and believe me i have much less trouble with my 64 bit array.Anyway.games run wonderful on this machine. And now with my new Hanns G HG281D monitor games look and run awesome at 27.5 inches .Now you would think with Vista and the huge 1920x1200 res i would see major a performance hit.But i havent.Ive compare the FPS from many games with my DELL Ultra Sharp 2007FP 1600x1200res using Windows XP Pro 32bit and Windows XP Pro 64bit and Vista.HP 32/64 bit And what i saw was that my games played about the same but looked much better. Some games acutally got better FPS.Now on my Hanns G Ive only used Vista but i havent seen much of a performance hit on it either.Maybe a few FPS here and there.

Benchmarks -AQ3 on 32/64 Vista is the only benchmark to take a major peformance hit.I lost over 30,000 point just switching to Vista.Vista 64 acutally gave me a slightly better ( i have a patch for AQ3 to run on Vista 64)score.Switching to the Hanns G gave me another hit of about 20,000 points. The average score in XP Pro 32 or 64 bit was around 200,000.With Vista 32/64 bit the average score is now like 165,000 on my 2007FP.On my Hanns-G its about 115,000.Now 3Dmark01/03/05/06 score were pretty close. At default settings all scores were within a few thousand points.Which could be do to differnt drivers or OC's etc

Overall im very happy with the performance of Vista HP 32 and 64bit with 64bit being my choice for an everyday OS.Try it you'll like

i much prefer xp64, using it as my os
i have vista64 on another hard drive with benchmarks, etc; but that was for oc before
in my opinion they both run fine, but xp is better in terms of runnin vms as xp itself uses less ram, allowin more to be allocated to a vm
