If you can get it for a good price then go for it. If you are going to buy an OS, Vista 64 is your best option.

Vista 64bit has matured and is very stable.
A big benefit of the 64bit OS is its support of 4 Gigs of RAM +. Gaming can be played in DirectX10 and DX10.1 (better visual quality). Also if a game is finiky with a 64bit OS or DX10, you have the option to run it in compalibility mode of a XP 32bit OS. More and more apps/games are going to be starting support for 64bit and time is good to go Vista 64bit!

I say go for it. I dont notice any difference in performance with SP1, stability is excellent as is driver support. Also, you cant lose with true 64 bit especially with your 4gb ram!

I'll say go with Vista 64bit.The only game that doesn't work well in Vista 64bit is BF2142. But the rest that I installed have been no problems..

Some GPU overclocking tools like ATITool don't work, but there are other options out there. Just upgrade - no need to screw around with dual boot.
