For all ATI users, I just saw this posted over at windows7forums, Catalyst 9.3 is out, and it has specific support for Windows 7 Beta users, not just a Vista file.

Everything seems a bit crsiper and snappier after installing, finally a driver for W7!

If I were to set up a dual boot with windows 7 and vista would it be better to install each OS on a separate HDD or on the same HDD with partitions?

Doesn't make a huge amount of difference. I went for 2 partitions because it means less noise.

Since W7 is a beta, it's best to install it on a seperate hard drive.

However, it's a very stable beta, so you probably won't have issues that could lead to data loss. So two partitions on a single drive is probably ok, just be prepared for the worst case. (back up often, etc)

Ive got my Windows 7 x64 on a ancient IDE drive and XP on my SATA. I beta tested vista x64 and windows 7 is so much a better beta. Driver support is awesome, I have 0 problem drivers and I didnt have to do anything to get it to work. Just booted.

Sometimes I refer to my XP install as my Safe mode. Thats what it feels like in comparison to 7.

One thing ive found is that You cannot do 2 installs of 1 disk. Correct? I had errors saying a ISO image was missing when I tried to install it a second time.

I ended up putting it on the same raid array as vista - works perfectly. I wasnt expecting it to be so stable!
