lol i dont steal i just like free stuff also have no problems with sp2 just that it opens picture files with that stupid editor instead of the preview thing it used to but thats about it

Actually, I do believe that warning is telling us that somebody posted a bogus SP3 on the net, and Microsoft is telling everyone not to download it because it will "harm" your rig...nothing about a real SP, or how SPs can slow down your comp...just a bogus one...

(I haven't had any problems with SP2, but thats just me)

sp2 has been fine for me. seems like it was buggy at first it is just cool to not like sp2, like any time something is popular and people dislike it just to be different.

Well since it seems like no one here has actually taken hte time to read the article...

They are warning against downloading a non-official (which means could be screwed up) SP3 package.

All SP2 has done for me was slow me down. I just dont use it anymore.

I used to get lots of viruses before SP2. After I installed it I get alot less. Now I use Firefox and dont get any
