Default Best security for these priorities

I am looking for the best suite or combonation of programs either free or purchase that follow these priorities:

1) Lowest resource usage. This means lowest memory used and lowest cpu time for background.

2) Best protection. Obviously, the one that's gonna save my @$$

3) Doesn't interfere with games! It annoys the heck out of me when they pop up and either minimize the game or corrupt the screen. Also doesn't start scanning while you're trying to play.

4) Doesn't corrupt my harddrive while installing, like norton 2004 and 2005 did.

So that's it. I've already got zone alarm security suite 6 but I am looking for something better. It has to cover antivirus, firewall, and spyware at least.

Well, for spyware, get Ad-Aware SE and Spybot S&D.

The best virus protection is AVG IMO.

If you use DSL/Cable, the firewall on the router will be the best you'll get

3 programs:
-Avast
-Spybot
-Ad-Aware
Only run Avast for scans if you want to save resources.

I have various ports forwarded to my IP address, so don't I need a software firewall as well? I have a DGL-4300
