Default Windows 7 Ultimate Build 7100
i have this (x64 version) and in my computer properties window it says 4gb ram (3.5 usable). huh. i got the 64 bit version so i could use all my ram. what happened?

since you are using Onboard it is possible that your GPU is using some. Mine when i have to Onboard on says i have 3.8 GB of ram but i also have 128 Mb of sideport memory.

yea, it does. But your GPU (Graphic processor) might be using some of your ram thus, making it unavailable for windows to use.

He's saying the onboard graphics on your motherboard shares the ram that is inserted into the dimm modules. This is not the fault of the x64 operating system.

Sorry to thread jack, but on Vista 32 , and XP 32 , I only get 2.75 GB's of RAM , shouldn't I at least get 3.4 ?

i knows this. i am only using 512mb shared video memory....
