I was just wondering if any of you have found out how to move the Windows 7 quick launch bar. I CANNOT STAND ICONS ON MY DESKTOP!!!!!! I cannot find a way to get it to move please help

I don't understand what you are trying to do. please explain in more detail so we can help.

You can drag and drop shortcuts from your desktop to the bar, then delete the shortcut.

They look like a usual window, but not outlined and not shaded in. More like a picture on the bar, instead of a button. But once you hover over it, you can click once and it'll open.

You can put many things on it by making the icons smaller; right click on the bar and go to properties. Check "use small icons" and Taskbar Buttons to "always combine, hide labels"

Anything to add to the taskbar or toolbars can be clicked and dragged. Mabye you have it locked or something, right click and make sure lock taskbar isn't checked.

I want to be able to dock it at the top of the screen. I don't want it to be on my Task bar but on the top of my screen. I will find a SS of my vista install and see if that helps

Just do what Pucifer said. Unlock the taskbar and drag it to the top.

Right click task bar>Properties>Task bar location.

That will move it to the top.

Edit:

You want the quick launch undocked and at the top of the screen.
