So I went to play HL2 today and as soon as I clicked the open game button, the screen went blank and to the load screen and I got 2 beeps from my mobo's post speaker. Then I loaded the save point I was at, and got into the game, it was cycling throgh my weapons as if I was pressing 1,2,3,4,5 really fast. So then all of a sudden it stopped but...then my mouse wouldn't work. I hit escape and my mouse wouldn't work in the regular windows enviornment either. I took the batteries out of the mouse and put them back in and it worked. So I restarted and everything was fine.
__________________Then just now my girlfriend was using the computer, the mouse stopped responding and you couldn't see it. I navigated to the device manager and it said the mouse was working fine. After removing the batteries and replacing them with new ones, nothing happened. So she shut down the computer and now i'm here. What could this be?

go to accessability options and enable mouse keys, if you have the mouse shut off and its gone kong fooey, use the numpad keys as amouse untill you can get it going again.

And, I did have a feeling that it might be a power problem. The PSU in this computer sucks. It's just a 250W one that came with the case. One time when I was using the computer, it just restarted for no reason. I know it wasn't hot because I had just checked the temps. So figured it must be something to do with the power. And I just realized that I've never played games with my Video Card overclocked, until this time...when I got these weird PS2 problems.

So I'm really hoping that it's a power thing. Can anybody confirm this?
