Default Anyone have information on Win CE 5.0 apps?

I recently bought a 7" Touchscreen Navi/ In-Dash for my car and found that it runs on Win CE 5.0 OS. I did a google search after reading a review that the person said they were able to add different interface software to an SD card and change the name so it runs that software instead. I was extremely excited to hear this considering the Navi's main weakness that I bought was that the interface was crappy, but the features were great if yuo could navigate to them all. I soon thought of you guys here at overclock.net since people here are in pursuit of overall technological performance, that you guys would have info on where I could find software developed for Win CE 5.0 to replace the Navi I bought.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

i don't know about WinCE specific apps, but i do know windows mobile is based on WinCE.

maybe try running apps that run on windows mobile 5/6/6.1? it should come with word mobile, windows media player and others by default though...

Windows CE, which is the backbone of the Windows Mobile operating system found on a number of smartphones.

While Windows CE can’t run desktop Windows applications, the OS has been around in one form or another for over a decade and there are thousands of mobile applications that will run on Windows CE. It also comes with mobile versions of Word and Excel, as well as a pocket version of Internet Explorer, although mobile versions of the Firefox and Opera web browsers do a better job of rendering many web pages.
