problem with volume control in vista 64

Greetings,
__________________![]() I dont know what the hell is going on but whenever i turn my volume up in the right hand corner it automatically goes back down. Even as I hold the up key and let go it slides back down. Does anyone know what is going on?! thanks ahead of time.

Any voip programs running?
I'd reinstall those, if so. If not, or if that doesn't work, go to your audio properties > advanced and uncheck "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device." Another suggestion would be to reinstall audio drivers. See if that helps, and post back.

In your taskbar, right click on the speaker icon. Select playback devices. Select default device and then properties > advanced.

man thanks for the help but nothing you said worked...I even reinstalled the drivers and still when I move the volume bar up it slides back down..GAH!!!
