Default Windows ME unofficial service pack?

I have an old Compaq Presario 1277 laptop that I'm trying to do a clean install on. There is an unofficial service pack for Windows 98, but I can't find anything for Windows ME. This laptop does not have an ethernet port, so internet is almost out of the question. Is there any "final" update pack for ME that I can download somewhere??

Destroy Windows ME.

I don't think there's a service pack anywhere, no. Unless you count XP as a service pack.

Believe it or not, ME is faster than XP.

There are no service packs for ME.
Windows 98 'service pack' was cobbled together by users IIRC.
I think you'll have to attempt to get it to connect to the internet - USB wifi could work.

You should use Linux.

diatec, it may be too old of a system to run XP effectively. Maybe Windows 2000, but probably not XP.

Xubuntu ftw.

It's probably the only license available for the laptop. He probably doesn't have an extra XP license laying around...

I would just find myself a copy of Windows 98SE, stable fast and better than ME in many ways.
