Windows XP something came out of nowhere in my D drive(not windows installed drive)

I have my winXP installed at C and using D as my storage drive. Today...I found out that there are some files in my D drive that I do not remember putting them there nor installed there. as the following screenshot shown, I am not sure if they are safe to remove nor any idea of what they are. from one of the notepad I opened, I see its some microsoft visual 9.0 stuff but I really dont remember having anything to do with it while I was working on my computer.

might have been a Winrar extraction or a windows extraction from an update.

When you install things like netframeworks, service packs and similar they will extract to the main root of whatever drive they are on ie. D:

I see, so basically they are just some random harmless stuff thats been extracted from some application I have currently installed.

Yea, you can look at the modified date on them and see exactly when they were created and try to remember what you were doing then if you want to be sure.
