Just turn off the browser referer string and the pics are available. I use the Prefbar add-on for Firefox to do that on the fly. Yeah, I do it on my personal Linux box AND my work Windows machine.

Why does it surprise our BB employee, and everyone else who's posting that they're appalled, that MS uses FUD in their marketing and training materials? I find it rather entertaining that they're actively fighting back at a proven competitor.

Default this is microsoft trying to brainwash the masses

first i will say that i am a linux user and have been since last christmas. i have also been using windows since i getting my first computer.

many linux distros will people's needs will work just fine. i actually had an easier time learning how to use ubuntu than i did learning windows. wine is a great program for running various windows applications and if necessary a virtual box exists in the canonical that would work fine for many low end programs

windows compatibility with games and unique software that doesnt have a suitable open source counter part is still unmatched and for that reason i have a separate windows partition. otherwise linux has answers to people's general computing needs.

i will grant this though. out of box many linux distros are fairly stripped down and require some work to personalize it and make it their own that most people just dont want to do. it can become a hobby as well as an operating system

hahaha wow.... if your comparing Linux and Windows and that you dont need AV with linux than your a noob im used windows and Linux for over 12 years and the past 7 years haven't used AV on either!!!! Linux is not safer by any means...if you run linux as root your just as stupid as the guy running windows as admin!!! its all about how you drive the OS! and for the record im had one virus over the 7 years and was probably my fault but the performance trade off of not running AV and 1 virus over 7 years... is so worth it!!!! a firewall and being smart person is all u need!!!
