So when I right click the desktop and click either "screen resolution" or
"personalize" I get this messagebox ![]() Also, my control panel is completely empty. I can use the address bar to nav to items, but the icons do not appear. anyone else have this weird problem?

Ive installed the both RC's and the RTM, never once have I had an issue with errors of that sort. I notice that with the RC and RTM the control panel icon is missing from Explorer as well.

I get the same thing but with the Icon missing from Windows Explorer as well.
Meaning I had to launch anything control panel items manually. A reinstall may or may not fix the problem, you could very well have a buggy copy or the copy you have may have had problems during the burn process. If you have access to another ISO/Disc, I would suggest using that to reinstall and see if the problem persists.
