Default iTunes 9.0 Sucks
Turning this thing on in Windows 7 is an utter god damn nightmare for me. Why? I don't know. Either the start menu or the desktop icon don't work. I have to spam both until it finally starts.

Then, the ENTIRE interface is slow as hell. You'd think and update would make the crappy program better - but no, it makes it worse then.... crap. I can barely freakin use it.

I use iTunes 8.0 with Win7 just fine. Try re-downloading that version?

Good thing I've been declining all those update notices.

itunes anything has sucked for me. I stopped using ipod because of how bad itunes is...

Try foobar2000 or winamp yet?

I have been using iTunes 9 for about a week and I have had no problems. I actually find it to launch quicker than iTunes 8. But as with everything I still must have a back up and I use Media Monkey which can also sync you're library to your iPod if you have one.

I've been using 9.0 since the day it came out and have yet to have a single problem with it. Your issues seem more Windows related than iTunes related.

I think I have version 8 but in Windows 7 it loves to crash when I do anything in the iTunes store. >.<
