Ive had this problem, it seems its an old update like from 2008. So don't bother getting it just roll back your driver and it should work fine.

For these kind of drivers always get it from the motherboard's support website. I tried updating once from Windows and the same thing happened, I can no longer go on internet.

Not only that, but I've always considered it to be a bad idea to use any drivers that Windows Update offers me. This is because I want to get those drivers from the manufacturer, not Microsoft. That way I know what I am getting, and I also retain complete control over which drivers my hardware is using. So, when Windows Update tells me that there's a new Microsoft driver for something in my system, I will tell it to Hide the update (right-click and choose Hide). In other words, I only let Windows Update install updates for Windows and other Microsoft products - except for my Intellimouse Optical.

o course, if you go to realtek's website and dl the newest driver from there, win7 won't bother you with the update nag for it. i've updated from both windows ans the realtek dl, and it hasn't affected my internet connecting at all.

In general drivers and device software on Windows Update is going to be 2-4 months old. Always get these from the manufacturer/vendor website. For Realtek in particular I know they have the latest, high-quality drivers on their website. I've never had a problem with their HD Audio or ethernet drivers.

it's best to use the Drivers provided with your hardware, or the updated one from their website, instead of built in drivers, or windows update ones, only use them if no driver is provided, otherwise just ignore the driver updates

I have been searching online for a Samsung 2233BW driver for Win 7 64-bit. I came across this forum where looks like in your signature you might have the same as me? Can you tell me where to get drivers please? The display on my screen is not filing up the monitor screen. Please help. djamclellan@hotmail.co.uk is my email. |
