Default linux v. Windows v. Mac (school paper)

I need to write a 6 page school paper, and I have chose to write it on the linux v.windows v. mac debate.

This is a college level paper, so please post reasonable arguments. They don't have to be complex/advanced, but just what you like and dislike about OS's and their support levels.

Admins: will you clean the thread up a little if you have the time, but please don't delete the useful posts. thanks!

Example:

If you need any more help, feel free to shoot me a PM, or reply in this thread.
The points I am planning on making:

first paragraph after into will be about ad campaigns and society's reaction

Macs
Pros
less viruses (for now)
simple UI (kids)
some good graphical design and media design programs

Cons
less upgradable
price
programming
online tech support communities (maybe)

Windows
Pros
Far more programs available
Price
customizable
online tech support communities (maybe)
upgradeable/ able to built with variety
gaming
business
variates
overclocking (not sure if i want to get this in depth with my English teacher )

Cons
viruses (I will explain about being smart with computers)
required resources
larger learning curve (kids)
variates

Linux will be my conclusion

If your teacher is a Mac user, all you need is 6 pages of pretty pictures that show how stylish the Mac is. A plastic report cover sheet will REALLY help too. Also, cut out the Apple logo on the cover sheet. Show some fat guys in glasses and make a big arrow pointing to them that says PC. A+

If your teacher is a PC user, you'll actually have to do some work. Most obvious would be comparing the cost of parts to the cost of the machine in a Mac, and a comparable Dell/HP, and the price difference.

Do something serious. Show how the UNIX kernel is much more stable and safer then the hack job/speghetti code that Microsoft uses for their kernel.

Can't play Crysis on a MAC os, can't play most games and run most windows apps without some sort of emulation on MAC os. Most MAC PCs are pretty weak, or were prior to about 2005. MAC only has 1 mouse button (until now with the magic mouse and its fake second "button" "

Simple, blow this pic up to poster size and bring it to class

Alternatively, you could just let this thread get to 6 pages, print it out, and hand it in.

Actually that would be *awesome*. Then hand in the real one after your teacher flips through it.

YAY! You have to post your paper here when you're done.
