Performance power management features on processor 4 are disabled due to a firmware problem. Check with the computer manufacturer for updated firmware.

this is what i copy and pasted from my event log... and heres what i did previous to this issue..

EDIT: (just installed a sound card for the first time, its working but this is the issue im dealing with since)

1. had 2x 4890s on my x58, i had to move then down a slot each
2. placed my creative blaster x-fi card in the pci-1 slot
3. updated every driver---even video
4. took my xfire setup out, re-installed just one of my 4890's
5. windows update
6. went into device manager, and updated driver (it installed nd everything)

stilll a problem..

Every time i run BF2, im about 10 - 15 minutes into the game and it goes blue screen, and gives me the error about "if you recently installed new hardware, consult your hardware manufacturer or take it out."

need a bitta help

Default

I searched long and hard for a solution, trust me, I did, and even joined 3 Windows Forums with no answers.

I ended up turning on Current Feedback Override on my mobo and it has been fine since, although it did not work before, but it works now and has been fully stable for over a month.

It seems to be a problem when EIST is enabled to give the 21X multi that otherwise is not accessible with EIST (Intel Speedsted Off) So that problem you get has to do with Intel Speedstep, that is what I gathered here and there through my searches. Still not 100% sure if it's correct but it seems to be the culprit.

What Vcore are you at?
