I'm trying to install an older audio driver but everytime I uninstall and restart my computer, it installs itself again on my computer!
How do I stop this?

Don't restart the computer. Install the new driver and restart.

The only reason why it does that is because even though you uninstalled it, the file is still lying dormant in the Windows folder. So when it's booting up, it says "oh, I need the most appropriate driver for this device. I'll look in C:\Windows first. Oh here's one. I'll use this."
So if you uninstall it and then install the new one without restarting first, then that might work.

Are you referring to Windows Update?

So, choose "No, let me choose what to do". Then a list will appear. From this list, choose "Never install driver software from Windows Update". But leave "Replace generic device icons with enhanced icons" because that's more fun than generic icons.
